19-year-old kills man in Cocoa during attempted robbery

A 19-year-old male is in custody less than 24 hours after he killed a man during an attempted robbery. Kenydrick Anderson, (DOB 05/20/2004) is facing charges of 1st degree murder, attempted robbery with a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a person under age 21. He is currently in the Brevard County Jail without bond.
On Friday, officers responded to the area of Crestview Rd. and Monopoly Lane for reports of a male that had been shot. The male, later identified as Factor Adrian Tejax Curup, 43, was airlifted to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased as a result of his wounds.
Detectives responded to the scene and began interviewing witnesses, and gathering all evidence.
Based on the evidence, detectives quickly identified a suspect, and obtained a search warrant. As a result, the suspect was brought in for questioning and confessed. The firearm believed to have been used in the crime has been recovered.
