A 13-year-old girl was shot early Monday morning in Melbourne near North Wickham Rd and Fountainhead.

13-year-old girl reports being shot by man accusing her of throwing rocks at vehicle

The girl told police that her and a group of friends were confronted by a man in a white truck accusing them of throwing rocks at his vehicle.
She says that after an argument, the man pulled a gun and began shooting at the teens as they fled for safety.

The incident occurred around 12:09am. She was struck in the arm and treated for superficial wounds at the hospital.
Police say they received several calls from other drivers complaining of a group of kids throwing rocks at traffic.

There’s currently no video of the incident, nor a better description of the vehicle or suspect.
