Vehicle wanted for fatal hit and run found

The Melbourne Police Department provided the following update on the search for a vehicle that hit and killed a pedestrian, and fled the scene.

UPDATE
On Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 11:37 PM, the owner/driver of the suspect vehicle was identified.
The vehicle, (a 2016 white Jeep Compass), has been recovered from a residential address in Southeast Palm Bay. This investigation is still active and further details will be released at a later time.
