Titusville Man Charged with Felony Sex Crimes Involving Runaway Juvenile

A New York man faces multiple felony charges, including lewd and lascivious battery and possession of child pornography, after Titusville Police uncovered a disturbing case involving a runaway juvenile from South Florida. Devin White, 41, was arrested on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, following a police response to a verbal disturbance in the 3400 block of Garden Street.

At approximately 9:00 AM, Titusville Police Department officers encountered White and a juvenile female during the disturbance call. The juvenile was identified as a missing runaway from South Florida. Through a meticulous investigation led by patrol officers and the Criminal Investigations Division, authorities determined that White had picked up the juvenile on a South Florida beach and transported her to Titusville. Further investigation revealed that White engaged in sexual acts with the minor while in Titusville.

A search of White’s vehicle and cell phone yielded additional evidence supporting the allegations. White now faces a slew of charges, including:• 1 count of Lewd and Lascivious Battery • 11 counts of Sexual Performance by a Child • 11 counts of Possession of Child Pornography • 1 count of Possession of MDMA • 1 count of Possession of a Controlled Substance while in Physical Control of a Motor Vehicle • 1 count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

White is currently detained at the Brevard County Detention Center with no bond.

Detective Sergeant Bryan Nelson praised the officers’ diligence, stating, “This case highlights the critical importance of our officers’ instincts and attention to detail. Thanks to the vigilance of our initial responding officers and the thorough investigation that followed, we were able to identify a juvenile in danger and bring serious charges against the suspect.” He emphasized the department’s commitment to protecting vulnerable victims and holding offenders accountable.
