Suspected Cocoa Beach Arsonist Captured

Detectives have identified and charged a suspect in connection with two fires set during the night of October 14th, 2024, and early morning of October 15th. Eric Doyle of no address was taken into custody by the Cocoa Beach Police on the afternoon of October 15th, following an arrest for Theft of a Fire Extinguisher and Disorderly Conduct.

After a thorough investigation, detectives gathered sufficient evidence on October 16th to charge Doyle with two felony counts of Malicious Land Burning and one misdemeanor count of Criminal Mischief. He is currently being held at the Brevard County Jail.
