Southwest Airlines halts departures citing technology issues

Southwest Airlines has the Federal Aviation Administration to pause the airline’s departures.

The FAA made the announcement Tuesday and shared the information on social media.

“Please contact Southwest Airlines for more,” the FAA noted on Twitter.

Southwest cited “intermittent technology issues” and responded to a least one question one traveler on Twitter.

“We should hopefully be resuming our operation as soon as possible,” Southwest said.
