Orchid Lake, a newly inaugurated affordable housing complex in Cocoa, is now open and offering rental units with prices starting at $228 per month for one-bedrooms and $305 for three-bedrooms/2 bathrooms.

Situated at the intersection of University Lane and Michigan Avenue, the development provides a range of one to three-bedroom apartments, sized between 802 and 1,137 square feet. The development is reserved for income-qualifying residents who earn at or below 22, 33, and 60 percent of the area median income.

Amenities for residents include a clubhouse, fitness center, splash pad, playground, outdoor BBQ area, and media room. The project, valued at $30 million, was developed by Housing Trust Group.

CEO Jordan Tolman expressed enthusiasm about the completion, stating, “This is a gorgeous project that’s going to be wonderful for the community.” The complex is designed to accommodate individuals and families earning at or below 22%, 33%, and 60% of the area’s median income.
