David Panicola, Deputy Mayor of Indian Harbour Beach passed away according to reports. He was 56 years old.

His family includes his three children, Shannon, Courtney and Michael and two grandchildren, King and Anthony. Originally from Long Island, New York, David Panicola has lived in Florida for over 29 years and in Indian Harbour Beach for 24 years. A graduate of St. Joseph’s College on Long Island, David has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Relations and was the owner  of Point A. Advantage Inc. until 2016, a non-emergency transportation company for people with special needs.

David was elected to City Mayor November 6, 2015 and served until 2019. David has served on City Council since 2003 and has served as Deputy Mayor 2011 to 2015 and from 2019 to present. Prior to being appointed to Council in 2002, David served on the Planning & Zoning Board and was a volunteer firefighter for IHB for over 7 years. David also volunteered as the Safety Officer for two years on the IHB Little League Board from 2001-2002.
