Brevard Fire Chief hit while on scene at vehicle fire on 95

Published on

BCFR District 20 vehicle was hit while working a scene this evening on I-95. The vehicle was occupied by the District Chief at the time of the accident.

While we are happy to report the Chief is going to be ok, we want to reiterate the importance of obeying the Move Over law. The Florida Statute requires vehicles to move over a lane for emergency vehicles or slow down to a speed 20 mph below the posted speed limit.
