In a very contested race, former Commissioner of Agriculture Nikki Fried beat former State Senator Annette Taddeo, and two others to become the next Chair of the Florida Democratic Party.

The election took place today at the state-wide event in Orlando.

Both women touted heavy and powerful endorsements going into the race. Nikki came out on top with 54% of the vote.
