Since Hurricane Ian has come and gone, Brevard County was left off of the list of approved counties for FEMA assistance by the federal government. Although damage in most area of Brevard was minimal, North Brevard County has been hit hard by flooding that has yet to recede.

Brevard County staff and Commissioner Rita Pritchett have been working “24/7” to fight for the approval of Brevard to be added to the list of approved counties.

They have literally gone from house to house, taking photos of damage and the conditions to send to the federal government, fighting for the much needed funding to help those impacted the most. That hard work has finally paid off.
