Melbourne, FL — After months of investigation, Melbourne Police have announced the arrests of five individuals connected to a violent robbery that occurred inside the Melbourne City Hall Parking Garage late last year. The incident, which was partially captured on video and circulated on social media, involved a group of attackers physically assaulting and robbing a man in the garage on November 30, 2024.
According to police, the investigation began on December 1, 2024, after a concerned citizen alerted officers to disturbing social media videos showing the attack. The victim was identified and recounted the terrifying ordeal to investigators.
The victim reported that he was confronted by an armed suspect inside the parking garage. The situation escalated when multiple attackers punched, kicked, and dragged him to the ground. The group then used a handheld stun gun on him before forcibly removing his necklace and wallet. Some of the bystanders present reportedly recorded the assault and later shared it online.
Over the following months, Melbourne Police Patrol Officer Whiteside and the Criminal Intelligence Unit worked to identify the suspects involved. After collecting evidence and securing arrest warrants, officers apprehended five suspects, with charges pending against two additional individuals.
Arrested Suspects
- Jayvon Jordan, 19, faces charges of robbery with a firearm, unlawful carry of a concealed firearm, assault with intent to commit a felony, and carrying a concealed weapon.
- Taryus Jordan, 21, is charged with robbery without a firearm or weapon and battery – touch or strike.
- Bryce Delgatto, 18, faces charges of robbery with a weapon.
- Shaun Curran, 18, also faces charges of robbery with a weapon.
- A juvenile male whose identity has not been released is charged with robbery with a firearm and open carry of an electronic weapon.
Ongoing Investigation
While five suspects have been arrested, police say the investigation is still active, and charges are expected against at least two more individuals involved in the attack.
