Walt Ehmer, the President and CEO of Waffle House and a prominent member of the Atlanta Police Foundation’s board of trustees, has passed away at the age of 58. The Atlanta Police Foundation confirmed his death on Sunday.
Ehmer began his career with Waffle House in 1992 and quickly ascended the ranks, becoming President in 2002. He later assumed the roles of CEO and Chairman, leading the company through significant growth. Ehmer’s impact extended beyond the restaurant chain, with Georgia Tech University, his alma mater, noting his remarkable contributions to both the institution and the wider community.
