National Magazine Spotlights BPS’ Educational Excellence

Viera, FL – The U.S. News and World Report ranking of the best schools is an annual tradition. Their 2024 Best Elementary Schools and Best Middle Schools rankings were recently published and spotlighted the excellence of Brevard Public Schools.

A total of 32 schools earned a Best Elementary Schools badge, and 16 additional schools earned a Best Middle Schools badge because they placed among the top 40% in Florida.

The top three ranked BPS elementary schools in the state are Freedom 7 (#1 in BPS and #8 in Florida), Robert L. Stevenson (#2 in BPS and #14 in Florida), and West Melbourne School for Science (#3 in BPS and #20 in Florida).

The top three ranked BPS middle schools in the state are West Shore Jr./Sr. High (#1 in BPS and #4 in Florida), Edgewood Jr./Sr. High (#2 in BPS and #7 in Florida) and Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High (#3 in BPS and #91 in Florida).
