Brevard County Supervisor of Elections Announces her retirement/DeSantis to appoint her replacement

Early this morning, Brevard County Supervisor of Elections Lori Scott sent a letter to Governor DeSantis announcing her resignation and retirement after 32 years of service

Her letter states that her last day will be October 4, 2022.

“It’s a personal decision I’ve discussed with my family after 32 years in public service,” Lori expressed.

Because she has less than 28 months left in her term, Florida law requires that the Governor appoint her replacement for the remainder of her term

Lori recommends her IT Director, Tim Bobanic, as her replacement to DeSantis to ensure a smooth transition of her office with someone who has a decade of experience with Brevard elections.

Lori was just recognized by the Brevard County Commission for her tremendous success as the Supervisor for years, running the most secure elections in the state
