Woman shot and killed on Eber Rd identified

Deputies identified the woman who was found shot and killed yesterday as 20-year-old Aniya Sheppard, who is from Fort Pierce. According to officials, she was pronounced dead at the scene after being found with gunshot wounds.

Deputies were called to the area around 6:40am after a citizen informed a deputy at a gas station that there appeared to be a body on the side of the road.

Neighbors report hearing gunshots around 5:30 that morning. There have been no arrests as of yet.
