Space Coast Young Republicans VP and Florida House 33 Candidate arrested on DUI charges

Logan Luse was arrested by Palm Bay police for DUI on April 15, 2023. According to the arrest affidavit, Luse was observed traveling at a high rate of speed by police when it was then involved in a “vehicle mishap.”

When they made contact with Logan, they could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from him, and observed what appeared to be an alcoholic beverage in a glass in his center console.

Luse subsequently failed the field sobriety tests and then repeatedly refused to submit to a breathalyzer. He was then placed under arrest and booked into the Brevard County Jail. His arrest was not far from where Pete Filiberto was arrested in February for similar charges.

Logan was supposed to be at the Palm Bay Sustainability Fair that day, but was notably absent due to his arrest. He was bailed out by Space Coast Young Republicans President and Melbourne City Council candidate David Neuman.

Logan Luse currently serves as Vice President of the Space Coast Young Republicans, and Florida State Director of the American Conservative Coalition. He’s been appointed to several government boards for the city of Palm Bay and Brevard County Commission. He was appointed by Mayor Rob Medina and former Palm Bay City Councilman Pete Filiberto to 3 boards for the City of Palm Bay. Luse was appointed to the Brevard County Planning and Zoning Board by former County Commissioner Curt Smith and also served on failed candidate Nathan White’s campaign team.
