Protest Scheduled Tonight at Palm Bay City Hall – Mayor to Give State of the City Address

Updated 12:20pm to include quote from Mayor Capote

Tonight at 6:30pm, Palm Bay Mayor Capote will be giving the annual State of the City Address and Council Chambers. At the same time, a peaceful protest has been scheduled by citizens to voice their opinions about some of the revelations that have come out in the David Isnardi case.

The protest is scheduled to begin at 6:00pm and go on until the start of the regular scheduled City Council meeting at 7:00pm.

Evidence that has come out from the discovery in the Isnardi case shows confessions of wrongdoing from current and former Councilmen and former city employees. Some citizens have called for the resignation of certain Councilmen on social media.

Thomas Gaume, a candidate running for Seat 3, Councilman Brian Anderson’s seat, has been reading the investigative report on a loud speaker and handing out copies of it in front of City Hall. Allegations in the report stem from campaign finance violations, bribery, extortion, drug charges, and even prostitution linked all the way to State Representative Randy Fine and his friend and former Councilman Tres Holton according to statements from the FBI.

Ahead of the address tonight, Mayor Capote says he is thankful for the privilege of serving Palm Bay for the last 12 years total and 8 years as the Mayor. He feels we are better and our growth as a city has increased exponentially than before he became Mayor.

“YOU CAN’T CONTROL EVERYTHING, AND YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE GOOD WITH THE BAD. I DID WHAT I COULD WITHIN THE LIMITS OF MY POWER TO GET RID OF THE BAD”

Palm Bay Mayor William Capote
