SUMMARY:Surfing Santas of Cocoa Beach 2024
DESCRIPTION:It’s 2024 and we are calling all the tribes to gather yet again in Cocoa Beach on Surfing Santa Day to surf together. We want hundreds of Surfing Santas to show up and surf and thousands of spectators to come and watch. Let’s all share the love\, joy\, and hope on the beach\, together again\, 7:30am\, December 24th\, at the end of Minutemen Cswy\, (located in front of Coconuts on the Beach.) \nWhat started as a fun family outing in 2009 has grown to become an annual event that raises tens of thousands of dollars for local charities and draws surfing and Christmas enthusiasts from all over the planet. \nOver the past decade\, Surfing Santas has grown into one of the most unique and fun-filled charity events the world has ever seen. This congregation of costumed kahunas has grown to record-breaking numbers with over 800 Surfing Santas and nearly 10\,000 spectators. Sponsorship from the city of Cocoa Beach and the participation of local businesses have come to make this a true community event. Moreover\, the event benefits the Florida Surf Museum which is “Preserving Floridas Surfing History” and Grind for Life\, a local charity benefiting people suffering from cancer. \nThe Surfing Santas are sure to set more records in the holiday sun this year. There will undoubtedly be sights unseen before on beaches anywhere else in the world. \nThe first professional surfer\, Phil Edwards\, once said\, “The best surfer out there is the one having the most fun.” On December 24th at 8:00am\, the world’s “best surfers” of all skill levels and all ages will be in Cocoa Beach fully clad in their finest holiday gear and having the most fun the Christmas surf and sun can provide. Get your costumes ready and plan to join the fun this Christmas Eve. \nThe community’s support has been overwhelming\, and Surfing Santas Cocoa Beach thanks everyone who wants to ride the Surfing Santa wave.\nSurfingSantas.org

DESCRIPTION:Meeting on the beach from 6-10pm (use the beach access located behind the restrooms)\n🪵 Donations of commercially available firewood packages are needed and greatly appreciated!\nThis is bonfire season so bring your favorite light toys! 🔥\nMoon rise is at 7:30pm\nPlease:\n– Abide by local laws. Don’t put our group at risk by doing illegal activities.\n– No smoking or vaping inside or around the circle. Preferably go outside the crowd\, downwind where the smoke will not bother anyone as there are children and people with allergies to think of.\n– No Glass on the beach.\n– No alcohol. Intoxicated behavior will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave.\n– Dogs are not allowed on this beach.\n– Ask permission before playing someone else’s drum. Remove all hand and wrist jewelry to prevent any damage.\n– Leave a large enough inner circle space for all of our wonderful dancers.\n– Dancers\, try to encourage movement around the inner circle as this helps increase the flow of energy between the dancers and the drummers.\n– Spectators\, please allow the front line of the circle for drummers and dancers. We need to be able to see and hear each other play in order to keep cohesive rhythms So if space is tight\, and you are there to soak in the vibes\, please consider sitting behind a drummer forming an outer circle.\n– Pack out your trash\, leave nothing behind.\n– MOST OF ALL… We are here to have fun and provide a SAFE and WELCOMING space for all… so relax\, smile\, enjoy\, stay positive\, and please be kind and respectful to one another 💛\nThank you for your cooperation and understanding.\nHappy drumming! 💙🙏💙
